LiftR ("LiftR", "we", "us") is a social app for powerlifters to log lifts, share video proof, and compete on leaderboards. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Account: your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider).
Profile: your public lifter name, optional profile photo, and lift stats such as body weight and best lifts.
Content: the lift videos you upload, plus comments, likes, and follows you create. Videos and your lifter name are public to other users.
Basic technical and usage data needed to run the app — for example device type, app version, and error logs — so we can keep the app working and fix problems.
To create and operate your account, show your lifts and profile, power the feed and leaderboards, enable likes/comments/follows, respond to reports, and keep the service secure.
We do not sell your personal information.
Public content: your lifter name, profile photo, lift videos, stats, comments, and leaderboard placement are visible to other users.
Service providers: we use Supabase to provide authentication, database, and file storage. Your data is processed on their infrastructure under their security controls.
Content review: videos you submit are processed by automated screening services — including artificial-intelligence (AI) systems — acting on our behalf before publication. Sightengine (content safety) and Google's Gemini API (lift verification) analyze the video to help our moderators review it. These providers process videos only to provide this screening and are not permitted to use them for other purposes. If automated screening rejects a video, you can appeal in the app (Settings → Appeals) and a human will review the decision.
Legal: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This removes your profile, lifts, videos, comments, likes, and follows. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
You can also delete an individual lift (and its video) from the lift’s menu.
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections and row-level access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
LiftR is not directed to children under 13, and you must meet the minimum age in your country (and any higher age required for consent) to use it. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
You can access and edit your profile in the app, and delete your content or entire account at any time. To make other requests about your data, contact us at support@liftr-app.com.
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
